Glasgow is a great city if you are trying to go zero waste! There are loads of charity shops and specialist shops so it feels easy to purchase sustainably and reduce your impact on the planet.
Here’s a list of the best of zero waste shops in Glasgow:
LOCAVORE ( West End & South Side)
Locavore is probably the most famous zero waste shop in Glasgow. This organic and zero waste shop in the South Side is about the size of a small supermarket. You can find lots of loose and local food but also household products (also loose) and health products.
Some organic fruit and veg sold come directly from their own farm located less than 10 miles from Glasgow city centre. It is possible to buy in store or subscribe to a box system. These boxes can be delivered or collected in store.
There is also a Locavore branch on Dumbarton Road in the West End .

ZERO WASTE MARKET (East End)
The small shop Zero Waste Market in Dennistoun is the lair for the loose addicts. Amongst loose products, you can also find snacks, chocolate and different types of sauces!
The principle is simple: Bring your own container, weigh it before filling it and weigh it again once filled.
The shop also offers household products and a few health products.
There is less choice of fruit and veg than in other zero waste shops in Glasgow but you can also order fruit and veg boxes and collect them in store .
