This picture is mainly an excuse for us to talk about a project Cynthia has been taking part in. The project is an online exhibition called #HeritageAtHome, organised by @thistlesanddandelions2020 in partnership with @glasgowgoma⁠

The exhibition aims to highlight women’s history and their contribution to their household and communities; to tell stories about domestic labour and feminism, public and private space, and intimate relationships.⁠

🇫🇷Chatelherault est un parc ... non, non je ne me suis pas trompé dans l’orthographe! Et oui ce domaine à l’est de Glasgow est nommé ainsi car James Hamilton, son propriétaire était devenu Duc de Châtellerault (la petite ville française) en contribuant au mariage de Mary Queen of Scots et du Dauphin de France.

On reprend donc : Chatelherault est un parc que je t’invite à visiter pour ses magnifiques balades dans les bois qui forment la majeure partie du domaine! On peut s’y rendre en train en seulement 1h à partir de Glasgow. •

🇫🇷 Quand je suis arrivée au Royaume-Uni pour un échange Erasmus, j’étais capable de faire une dissertation en anglais sur King Lear de Shakespeare mais incapable de dire « balai » ou « robinet ». Je me suis vite rendue compte que l’anglais que j’utilisais dans le cadre de ma licence d’anglais ne me servirait pas beaucoup au quotidien.
